UBC offers Science Without Borders participants a broad array of science programs. While participants can choose which UBC program to apply to, course capacities are limited and course selection will be at the discretion of UBC.

Please note that faculty websites do not provide information about Science Without Borders or how to apply to the program. For application information, visit our Admissions page.

Other programs may be added in the future.

UBC’s School of Kinesiology offers courses in three areas:

  • Kinesiology Interdisciplinary Studies
  • Kinesiology and Health Science
  • Physical and health Education

Students are welcome to enrol in the undergraduate Kinesiology courses listed here.

UBC has competitive English language admission requirements. Science Without Borders students with a strong record of academic achievement who do not yet meet UBC’s English language admission standards, may be eligible to complete UBC’s Conditional Admission Program at our English Language Institute.

The English Foundation Program (EFP) — available only on UBC’s Okanagan campus — is an innovative and accredited program providing university admission to students who meet all academic requirements, yet who do not meet UBC’s English Language Admission Standards.

The EFP combines intensive English language training and academic courses while engaging students in campus life – a perfect blend of strong academics, collaborative activities, and experiential and cultural learning.
